The Smith Recycling Milton Keynes Lightning has bolstered its off-ice support team with the addition of Manuele Dalle Ave as the club’s new Equipment Manager.

Manuele moves to the Lightning from reigning Alps Hockey League champions and five-times Italian League Champions Asiago, who overcame recent goaltender signing Patrick Killeen’s Ritten side in the finals last season.

Manuele has also been part of the vital off-ice support team for the Italian men’s hockey team and the country’s U18 ladies’ hockey side.

Head Coach Doug McKay said he was thrilled to be adding Manuele to the club’s off-Ice support team: “It’s important for me to know that myself and the players are supported by highly motivated, hardworking people with the club’s interests at heart - and Manuele fits that description.”

“He has experience at an extremely high level of the sport and knows what it takes to achieve that success.”

“He’s been with teams that have won trophies, and that will give our players confidence and breed positivity.”

He concluded: “Manuele’s commitment, professionalism, attention to detail and personality make him the perfect fit for this vital role.”
