JMS Films and Media Technologies announces the fifth Season of the Milton Keynes International Film Festival.
JMS Films and Media Technologies, in partnership with www.AltCineplex.com and radio partner MKFM, is delighted to announce the Fifth Season of the Milton Keynes International Film Festival (MKIFF). This year’s festival will take place on 11th October 2025 at the Chrysalis Theatre, Milton Keynes, with additional online screenings available from 25th September 2025 on AltCineplex (www.altcineplex.com).
Now in its fifth edition, MKIFF has grown into a premier international cinema event, providing an exceptional platform for showcasing films of all genres and lengths from both European and non-European filmmakers. The festival is dedicated to broadening access to cinema by pairing screenings with public discussions, thereby enriching film literacy and cultivating new audiences across the UK.
MKIFF’s mission remains to unite filmmakers, producers, and film enthusiasts from around the world in the innovative city of Milton Keynes, fostering creative exchange and collaboration. By presenting diverse storytelling and fresh voices, the festival continues to celebrate global perspectives and cinematic excellence.
This year, MKIFF received submissions in multiple languages from around the globe, ranging from short films, feature films, Sci-fi and documentaries to animations. Each entry has been carefully reviewed by an expert panel, ensuring that the festival highlights the most compelling and original works. The season will conclude with a special awards ceremony, honoring outstanding filmmakers for their creativity and vision.
Since its inception, MKIFF has successfully brought independent cinema to Milton Keynes. In 2022, the festival was hosted at the Holiday Inn Orchard Suite, while the 2023 and 2024 editions were held at the Chrysalis Theatre, featuring both local and international films. Past seasons have also showcased eminent titles including American Crow, Timespiracy, Happy Ending, Warner Brothers’ Jim Button and the Wild 13, Who Shot Sergeant Kirwan?, 1888, Enemy of the Heart, Shaakuntalam, A Moral Man, Saving Grace, Much Ado About Dying by Simon Chambers, and many more.
The Fifth Season promises to be MKIFF’s most dynamic edition yet, continuing its tradition of celebrating independent talent while offering audiences an engaging and inclusive cinematic experience.
