Milton Keynes Indian restaurant re-opens following flooding over Christmas

A Milton Keynes Indian restaurant has re-opened after it was forced to close on Christmas Eve due to flooding.

Calcutta Brasserie in Stony Stratford was forced to close its doors on Thursday after suffering flooding in their car park and basement.

But the restaurant confirmed last night that they are now open again for take-away and delivery services.

They have also thanked customers for all their kind messages of support.

It comes following a number of days in which flooding has impacted Milton Keynes.

The Environment Agency issued flood warnings covering the River Great Ouse in Newport Pagnell, Stony Stratford, Ravenstone, Wolverton and Cosgrove.

Many residents faced days of road closures as well as flooded homes and businesses.
