Blow-dries for a cause: Hair Host partners with Women Leaders Awards to support Ride High Charity.
With the Women Leaders 2025 Awards just weeks away, excitement is mounting for this year’s inspiring celebration of outstanding women from across the region. In the lead-up to the event, Hair Host is offering attendees a unique opportunity to get event-ready while making a meaningful difference in young lives.
On Thursday 12th June, between 9:30-12:30pm, Hair Host, based in The Hub, Central Milton Keynes, will open its doors to Women Leaders Awards attendees for professional blow-dries in support of Milton Keynes Children’s Charity - Ride High. Appointments must be booked in advance and are available on a first come, first served basis.
A minimum donation of £20 is suggested, with guests encouraged to give more if they wish - 100% of all proceeds will go directly to Ride High, a local charity that supports vulnerable children across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.
Ride High helps to change the lives of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children, by teaching them to ride and care for horses. Ride High supports 120 children a week aged 5-17 years and 80% of the children referred suffer with mental health challenges. Many find it hard to engage or communicate and Ride High uses horses as a vehicle to connect with the children.
Ride High is free to all children, a minibus service is offered to those who do not have access to their own transport, and the children receive a meal whilst there. Being a completely self-funded charity means fundraising efforts from those in the community are essential in allowing Ride High to continue to provide their service.
