Milton Keynes Foodbank receives festive support from Taylor Wimpey

Taylor Wimpey has made a generous foodbank donation to the MK Foodbank in Milton Keynes to support the charity during the festive period.

The foodbank, which is close to Taylor Wimpey’s Bronze Park and Salden Place East developments, was launched in 2004, and the charity now distributes from 10 serving centres across Milton Keynes.

As part of an ongoing collection with MK Foodbank, Taylor Wimpey South Midlands host regular collections at their head office in Newton Leys. These donations from the team will go directly towards ensuring items are readily available for those in need, across the month of December and beyond.

“We’re always proud to support local communities such as MK Foodbank, who provide such important services to anyone in need," said Fiona Lloyd, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South Midlands.

“At Taylor Wimpey, we understand the importance of working together with local charities, and it has been truly amazing to see how MK Foodbank has supported people across Milton Keynes since 2004. As we come up to Christmas, we are committed to continuing our support for charities and organisations that help make such an improvement to people’s lives in Milton Keynes.”

Louisa Hobbs, Head of Operations at MK Foodbank, added: “At MK Foodbank, we are working towards ensuring no one in Milton Keynes goes hungry.

“In 2024, we supported nearly 5,000 households across Milton Keynes and relied on generosity and kindness from our volunteers, as well as individuals and local organisations like Taylor Wimpey to donate food or financial support. We are so grateful for this donation, especially as we’re nearing Christmas.”
