Milton Keynes Food Bank Operations Manager awarded British Empire Medal

    Louisa Hobbs, Operations Manager for the MK Food Bank, has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the New Years Honours 2023.

    A spokesperson from the MK Food Bank says, “We are thrilled that our Operations Manager, Louisa Hobbs has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the New Years Honours 2023 in recognition of her services to the Milton Keynes community.

    "Louisa has tirelessly campaigned and fundraised against food poverty in the area, and this award is a real testament to that. Well done Louisa from all the team and our brilliant volunteers!"

    Louisa adds, "Personally, I'm delighted of course, but this is also about recognition for the absolute army of superstars who give their time to make sure no-one goes hungry in Milton Keynes. 2022 exhausted us all, but this has given me a new spring in my step - 2023 I'm ready for you!"
