Milton Keynes fire fighters called to bedroom blaze

Bletchley house seriously damaged by fire.

Two Milton Keynes fire crews were called out to a serious house fire yesterday.

The crews from Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service’s West Ashland station were called to the incident yesterday afternoon and discovered a bedroom fire on the first floor of a mid-terraced property in Arrow Place, Bletchley.

Firefighters with breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera as they tackled the fire from their ladder.

The first floor was about 60% damaged by the blaze while more than half of the ground floor suffered water damage.

The cause is being scrutinised by a fire investigation officer, said Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service.
