Milton Keynes Dragon Boat entries surge

Competitors fired up for this year’s event.

Organisers of this year’s Milton Keynes Dragon Boat Festival have announced that entries are flooding in, with a host of high-profile local companies already signed up to battle it out on the legendary Willen Lake this summer.

The festival, on Saturday 4th July 2026, is renowned for its explosive mix of adrenaline pumping action, team building, and fantastic community spirit. It has already attracted a stellar line-up of corporate teams ready to test their mettle.

Confirmed entries now include local media powerhouse MKFM, leading business publication Business MK and companies such as Twentyci Limited, Lumensol and, Parker Fluidic Solutions Europe, Prestige Lawns Ltd, dbstructural, Milton Keynes Rugby Club plus Bridgman & Bridgman.

This exciting list sets the stage for a highly competitive and memorable day of racing. But the water is far from full. There is still a golden opportunity for other companies, clubs, groups of friends, and community organisations to enter a team of 11 and race against their peers, clients, and competitors in this unique event.

“Seeing such a fantastic cross-section of Milton Keynes businesses, from media and tech to engineering and sport, come together so early is fantastic," said Alicja Green, Executive Director at NewWave Events.

“The fantastic early entries are already generating real excitement – especially from MK Rugby Club, who have pledged to arrive in vibrant style to claim the Best Dressed Team prize.

“We're eager to see which other teams will step up. This event is about more than racing; it's a celebration of teamwork, charity, and pure team spirit.”

The festival is proud to support vital local causes. Charity partners Als Pals and Toybox will be on site throughout the day with their stalls, adding to the vibrant atmosphere and offering spectators and participants a chance to learn more about their incredible work.
