Milton Keynes Dons SET CEO invited to 10 Downing Street for contribution to Community Sport

    The MK Dons SET Chief Executive Officer visited 10 Downing Street to talk about the Trust's contribution to sport in the community.

    The MK Dons Sports and Education Trust is an independent charity that has been working within the community since its establishment in 2007.

    MK Dons SET focuses on education, social inclusion, health and wellbeing, girls and women’s football, football development, and community delivery.

    On Tuesday, MK Dons SET Chief Executive Officer, Maralyn Smith, attended Downing Street for reception with Rt Hon Lucy Frazer KC MP Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport to talk about the work MK Dons SET does in Milton Keynes, with an invite from Ben Everitt MP.

    MK Dons SET CEO talked about the 55,000 participants SET supports annually and the impact these programmes provide members of the community of all ages and ability levels.

    Maralyn also spoke about the development of the Girls and Womens game in Milton Keynes and the award winning Knife Angel programme where 4000 children in Milton Keynes were supported by the club and Trust to learn about how to keep themselves safe and involved in positive activities in the community.
