One of MK's largest employers, Cranswick Convenience Foods, is inviting Milton Keynes residents to take part in a Family Fun Day on Sunday 17th July.

Cranswick Convenience Foods in Milton Keynes supplies cooked meat to supermarkets, and now for the second year running, the business is hosting a Family Fun Day with all funds going to Cranswick’s partner charity, Winter Night Shelter.

Organised by the staff at Cranswick, the event will feature funfair rides, kids activities, games, a wide array of stalls featuring a great selection of food and drink vendors.

Princess Elsa will even be making an appearance.  Winter Night Shelter helps people at different points of crisis. From rough sleepers, sofa surfers, vulnerable people to anyone close to homelessness, the Shelter provides welfare support, help to find suitable accommodation and links to supporting agencies. Cranswick Milton Keynes is committed to working with the charity, helping to raise significant funds through fundraisers, staff donations and collaborations with local businesses.

As well as fundraising, Cranswick supports Winter Night Shelter with volunteer hours and food donations to its café. The business also supports and employs the shelter’s guests, helping them to get back on their feet after their experience with homelessness.

Cranswick is aiming to raise £100,000 for Winter Night Shelter by March 2024 and hopes that the Family Fun Day will help to boost this figure with the community’s support.

Cranswick Milton Keynes’ Site Director, Sam Pearl said: “We can’t wait to welcome in the local community of Milton Keynes for what is going to be a great day of fun for a great cause.

"The Winter Night Shelter does amazing things to help people in need. It is a pleasure to work with them in helping to raise money to support the life-changing work that they do.” Cranswick’s family fun day will take place on Sunday 17th July 2022 at Milton Keynes Pavilion, Worrelle Avenue, Milton Keynes Village, MK10 9AD, 12pm-4pm and is completely FREE to attend.
