The Parks Trust have taken to social media to share images of their signs, urging people to report any damage they see.

The Parks Trust is an independent charity that cares for over 6,000 acres of parkland and green space in Milton Keynes.

Over the last week, the charity has seen some of its signage damaged by criminals. One of the signs, for the Pass the Parcel sculptures at Cook’s Place, Brooklands, was scratched by vandals, another sign, by Howe Park Woods (pictures), received significant damage.

A spokesperson for The Parks Trust shared on social media: "Over the last week we have seen significant criminal damage to our signage at Howe Park Wood and the newly installed boards at Brooklands.

"We are a self-financing charity which cares for over 6,000 acres of green space in Milton Keynes and damage like this is very expensive and time consuming for us to repair.

"The signage in our parks helps visitors find their way around, learn about the area and understand how to keep themselves and wildlife safe.

"Please look after your parks and if you witness any criminal damage taking place, please support us by reporting it to Thames Valley Police."
