Milton Keynes charity to host online Zoom meeting about saving local reptiles and amphibians

Those interested can book their place for an online talk hosted by the Milton Keynes Park Trust on the 17th of February.

The Milton Keyes Park Trust is a local independent charity that cares for over 6,000 acres of parkland and green space in Milton Keynes. This includes the river valleys, ancient woodlands, lakesides, parks and landscaped areas alongside the main roads that represent 25% of the city.

The Milton Keynes Park Trust urged those interested to attend in order to learn how they can help local wildlife. They posted online: "Do you want to learn more about MK’s wildlife and discover fascinating facts about the reptiles and amphibians which live in your local parks?

"People are often surprised to find out that the UK is home to many reptiles and amphibians. Come along to this online talk with our biodiversity expert to learn more about these curious creatures, where and when to find them in our parks, and all about their importance in the ecosystem.

"This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about our newts, snakes, toads, and even lizards and how to ensure their protection and longevity in Milton Keynes. Don't worry if you're not even sure what an amphibian is - all levels are welcome to join us and find out more about life in your local parks."
