Milton Keynes charity Spinal Injuries Association seeks your support

The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA), is the expert guiding voice for life after spinal cord injury - and if you act promptly you could help the charity swell its coffers in time for Christmas.

SIA - which has its head office in Oldbrook, is taking part in the Big Give #ChristmasChallenge - donate by midday tomorrow (Tuesday, December 9) and your donation will be doubled, at no additional cost to you.

With 105,000 people in the UK living with a spinal cord injury (SCI), and 4,700 people newly injured every year (12 people a day, one person every 2 hours), there is a need to reach so many more people.

'We will not stop until we realise our vision of a fulfilled life for everyone affected by spinal cord injury,' said a spokesperson for SIA.

'Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) often leads to complex mental health and wellbeing challenges, both for those with SCI, and their loved ones. Navigating the stresses of daily life, post-injury can be really difficult.

'Our approach to support people affected by SCI is holistic - from our support network, to our clinicians; our advocacy team, to our counsellors. We are there every step of the way, and we will not stop until we live in a world where every person with SCI gets a chance to live a fulfilled life,' they added.

This week, during the Big Give #ChristmasChallenge, the charity is telling SIA member Paul's story: https://youtu.be/QHru6rj12Qk
