Milton Keynes charity launches gift cards

Local charity, Willen Hospice has launched a new gift card that gives customers even more choice in its charity shops.

The gift cards can be loaded with any amount and used as presents for anniversaries, birthdays, teachers’ gifts, exam passes, graduations, or any other celebration.

Mark Rawlins, Director of Commercial said “If you are planning to buy a present for someone special, but you are feeling the pinch with rising costs, our gift cards are an affordable solution. It’s a flexible gift option with greater choice, and can be used for clothing, homeware, toys, books, games or furniture items.”

There are two designs to choose from. Customers can load an amount of their choice onto the card and the gift can be used all at once, or bit by bit.

There is no expiry date. Shoppers wishing to return or exchange goods can ask for the amount to be loaded onto a card, for use at a later date.

Mark continues “We have kept it simple. There is no need to create an account or log in online. To find out the balance, simply have the card scanned at the till to find out how much is left to spend.”

The cards can be redeemed in any of the 14 Willen Hospice high street shops, including Off The Record, coffee shops at The Point and Woburn Sands, Kiln Farm furniture store and the Bridal Boutique in Leighton Buzzard. Find out more about the gift cards here.

The sale of the cards will help Willen Hospice to raise funds which support people living with life-limiting illnesses. The Hospice needs to raise £11 every minute to provide personal, compassionate care.
