Milton Keynes charity announces winners of Summer Draw

Local charity, Willen Hospice has announced the winners of its Summer Draw 2022. The draw is held every year to help raise funds needed to support the Hospice.

The first prize of £2,000 went to winning ticket number 14758. The second prize of £500 was won by ticket number 138046. The 10 runner up prizes of £50 each went to the following numbers: 112312, 231653, 441759, 700022, 260761, 310062, 116823, 450541, 472995 and 66290.

People who purchased tickets in one of the Willen Hospice shops, are encouraged to check their number in case they have won a prize.

Nigel Birch, Head of Marketing said “We cannot thank our supporters enough for buying Summer Draw tickets over the past few months. Collectively, this has helped us to raise an incredible £17,087, which will go towards funding the care that we provide to people who are facing life limiting illnesses.”

He adds “To put this into context, the amount we have raised could fund hot, nutritious meals for our patients and their visiting families for around nine months. That’s a huge help to us at a time when food and energy costs are spiralling. It will help our on-site kitchen to continue operating 24/7, serving freshly made food and providing bespoke meals for patients, many of whom have specific dietary needs.”

Willen Hospice provides its holistic care completely free of charge, but to do this, it depends on funding from the local community.  Although the Summer Draw has closed, anybody wishing to help throughout the year can support the Hospice by buying £1 Lottery tickets from shops or online. Lottery tickets are only available to people aged 18 and over.

Every week, there is a guaranteed Lottery prize of £1,000, and the Rollover goes as high as £5,000. To find out more about playing the Lottery, click here
