Milton Keynes Charities Lose Money As Rocksolid Folds

Rocksoild had recently offered incentives to sign up early to the Milton Keynes event in October.

The popular mud run and obstacle Course race organiser have ceased trading with immediate effect citing trading difficulties during 2015 and 16.

Participants who took part in the last event at Silverstone last October were offered an early incentive to pay in advance for October this year.

Local charity, The Henry Allen Trust have told MKFM that 26 of their supporters had already signed up and paid £50 per person for the event.

The social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter have also been deleted denying access to a vast number of photos and videos from previous events. The following message has been posted on Rocksolid website.

ROCKSOLID RACE Ceases Trading With Immediate Effect

After much thought, we regret to inform you that we have come to the difficult decision to cancel all future ROCKSOLID RACE events and cease trading.

We are currently struggling to meet our projected sales for our biggest event, Exeter, which normally allows us enough profit to subsidise marketing our Milton Keynes event in October. This is on top of a poor 2016 season – in fact, sales have been in decline since 2015 – which ties in with the Obstacle Racing / Mud Run market in general.

In our view, Obstacle Racing has become a very saturated market and unfortunately we couldn’t make the sales required to sustain the company. If we were to go ahead with the 2017 events, we would not be able to hold events to the quality or standard to which we are known for.

We are really sorry to disappoint each and every one of you that you won’t get a ROCKSOLID RACE again.

It has been deemed that the Company is insolvent and will enter voluntary liquidation. As a result we will be unable to service refunds where bookings for events have already been paid.

A small number of booking fees may still be held by Eventbrite and you may wish to contact them in the first instance as to whether they are able to service a refund.

Failing this if you paid by credit card, you may be entitled to claim a Chargeback by contacting your credit card Company. Some banks will process Chargebacks for debit card payments, however not all of them offer this protection.

In both cases you will need to find out more about ‘Chargeback’, which has been provided on the link below:

    http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/how-do-i-use-chargeback

It is anticipated that ROCKSOLID RACE Limited will formally enter Liquidation imminently with Robson Scott Associates. Please visit their website for further details as to how to submit your claim.

    Best regards,

    ROCKSOLID RACE
