To continue to support Willen Hospice care Milton Keynes Business Centre are renaming one of their meeting rooms to ‘The Willen Room’.
For one month throughout August the room will be dedicated to raising funds for Willen Hospice and will be available for bookings with £1 of every hour booked out going towards the Hospice.
Recently Milton Keynes Business Centre invested in a ‘Herd About MK’ cow in celebration for the towns 50th anniversary. The cow was dressed and decorated with a space theme to reflect the main business of the Centre - providing a variety of professional business space for all types of businesses on simple, flexible terms. After decorating the cow it was named “Ann-Dromeda” and the centre partnered with Willen Hospice as their preferred charity. The Space Cow has already appeared at summer events to support the Hospice and ‘The Willen Room’ is to further that support.
Currently Willen Hospice needs to raise £3.6 million from the local community to remain open and to continue to offer its services at the Hospice and out in the community. Support from companies such as Milton Keynes Business Centre contributes greatly in raising funds and in extending the Hospice profile.
Dawn Clark, Willen Hospice’s Fundraising Manager, said “The support from Milton Keynes Business Centre has been brilliant. Much of the funds we need to raise each year greatly rely on the support of fundraising initiatives from organisations and the local community; without supporters like Milton Keynes Business Centre we couldn’t provide the care we do for our patients and their loved ones.
