Milton Keynes-based community group event success

The Bear PATH Project hosted its Annual Teddy Bear Picnic on Saturday at Shenley Brook End Recreation Ground.

Families, children, and volunteers gathered for a free day of fun, creativity, and connection under the summer sun.

Highlights of the day included the popular “Teddy Health Check-Up,” storytelling sessions, arts and crafts, games, and treats from the much-loved Mr & Mrs Whippy ice cream van. The event was supported by the Hope and Wellness Hub, whose encouragement helped make the day a warm and inclusive success.

Attendees described the picnic as inclusive, thoughtful, and uplifting. Steph Budier, who attended with her family, shared:

“This was very lovely! Thank you for organising such an inclusive and thoughtful free event. It was great to see families and little ones socialise & interact with each other!”

Founder Rachel Ogbu expressed her gratitude:

“We are so thankful to everyone who came out, from families and volunteers to local supporters. The Teddy Bear Picnic shows how small ideas can create big moments of togetherness in our city. Special thanks to the Hope and Wellness Hub for standing with us in fostering joy, wellbeing, and belonging.”

The Bear PATH Project  which stands for People, Art, Togetherness, and Healing will continue to deliver creative, inclusive events throughout the year, including seasonal celebrations, immersive experiences, and workshops for all ages.

“We see The Bear PATH Project as more than community gatherings — we believe our work contributes to the growth and development of Milton Keynes by fostering connection, creativity, and wellbeing, while exploring how technology and innovation can shape immersive experiences for the future of our city.” Your support will go along way to help us make this a really. In the near future, we are planning a project that fuses technology and traditional nostalgia in what we have tagged “A.I Lice in Wonderland”.
