Milton Keynes-based charity appeals for return of stolen equipment

Milton Keynes-based charity, Harry’s Rainbow, is appealing to residents for the return of stolen equipment after a charity event.

Harry’s Rainbow, the MK-based charity supporting bereaved children and families, is appealing to the public following the theft of £8,000 worth of equipment.

The equipment, rented for a colour run from Wolverton and Greenleys Town Council, was taken in a planned-out robbery that was seen on camera. Though the organisation has attempted to retrieve the items by means of insurance, coverage limitations have left them unrecoverable.

Among the stolen items were eight metal market stalls, a double axle trailer, 30 rolls of barrier netting, 110 metal stakes, and 20 plastic chairs. The loss has had a significant negative influence on the charity's ability to operate as well as the morale of its committed volunteers.

Harry's Rainbow is now appealing to the public for support in replacing the stolen goods, either in the form of cash contributions to pay replacement costs or donations of new or used equipment.

In order for the charity to carry out its goal of helping grieving youngsters in the neighbourhood, this support is essential.
