Milton Keynes baker pays homage to city's famous delivery robots by creating byte-able Starship cake

A local baker decided to put her cake-making skills to the test by creating an edible Starship delivery robot.

Starship delivery robots have made a name for themselves after being introduced to Milton Keynes in 2018.

Since then, the little white robots have been delivering groceries, takeaways, and all sorts of goodies to local residents across the borough. It has now become the norm for people to greet them as they pass.

The robots have developed a real fan base in Milton Keynes, so much so that one customer contacted SweetSarah, a local cake business, requesting their very own edible bot.

Sarah, who offers a variety of sweet treats, happily accepted the challenge and spent around 11 hours putting it all together.

The cake, which looks just like a real Starship robot, has fondant wheels, a bright orange flag, edible cameras, and text on the side that says: "Hungry? Danielle can help." It also directs people to Starship's real-life website.

The customer was incredibly happy, and hundreds of people on social media were left wishing they could take a byte!

"What a fab cake. I'd be too ashamed to cut it, as it looks sooo good," said one person.
