Residents will be able to make use of the Marston Vale Line for just £1 as it returns to its full service for the first time since 2022.
The Marston Vale line runs between Bedford and Bletchley went out of action back in December 2022 after Vivarail entered administration and since November 2023, the service has been running on a limited timetable.
The limited timetable has seen services return on weekdays while more drivers completed training on the Class 150s. It came after London Northwestern Railway stated that 24 train drivers would need to be trained on the Class 150 in order to reintroduce the service after it was found 'no longer safe' to operate the previous Class 230s.
Now, it has been confirmed that a full service will return between Bletchley – Bedford on 19 February 2024, just in time for half term.
London Northwestern Railway has also announced that from 19 February 2024 until19 May 2024, travellers will be able to purchase £1 single tickets (£2 return) between Bletchley – Bedford.
