Man with links to Milton Keynes absconds from open prison as Police appeal for information

    Police officers at South Yorkshire Police are looking for a prisoner who has absconded from an open prison, who has links to Milton Keynes.

    Ryan Hill, 41, left Hatfield Prison near Doncaster on Thursday 24 December and has not returned.

    Hill was jailed for manslaughter in 2008 and was recalled to prison for burglary in 2019.

    Prison staff became aware he was missing at around 10.30pm on Christmas Eve, and notified police shortly afterwards.

    Since then, extensive enquiries have been carried out to try and locate him.

    Officers are now asking members of the public for any information which could help locate him.

    Hill is described as being around 6ft 3ins tall with a medium build and blond hair.

    One of his front teeth is missing and he has a number of tattoos including one saying “BULLDOG BULLDOG BREED OGGY” on his right arm.

    He is known to have links to Wakefield and Upton in West Yorkshire; Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire; and Sowerby near Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
