Man charged with attempted murder in Milton Keynes

    Police name person in connection with stabbing.

    Thames Valley Police have charged a man with attempted murder, section 18 wounding with intent and possession of a knife, blade or sharp pointed article in a public place, following an incident in Milton Keynes last Sunday morning.

    Nicusor Rapa, 35, of Haywards Croft, Greenleys, was charged on Tuesday, following his arrest on Monday.

    The charges are in connection with an incident in Pinders Croft, Greenleys, at around 1am on Sunday morning in which a man aged in his 50s was stabbed to the chest and also sustained head injuries.

    The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, but is expected to make a recovery.

    Two other men, aged 25 and 37, both of no fixed abode, were arrested in connection with the incident but have since been released without charge.

    Rapa appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where he was remanded in custody to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 26th November.
