Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following late-night stabbing in Milton Keynes town

    A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after somebody received 'multiple stab wounds' in Fenny Stratford last night (20/6).

    At around 11.50pm yesterday, officers were called to a report of an altercation between a man and a group of men in Aylesbury Street.

    The victim, a man in his thirties, sustained multiple stab wounds and is currently in a stable condition in hospital.

    Police say that a 31-year-old man from Milton Keynes has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and attempted murder. He remains in police custody.

    This is believed to be an "isolated incident" and police wish to reassure the community that there is no "wider risk". 

    Thames Valley Police is in the process of carrying out a thorough investigation. There has been a heavy police presence in the area today (21/6) and this will continue over the next few days. 

    While investigations continue, officers are also appealing for witnesses that may have any further information. 

    Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Rachel Murray, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this incident, or who may have information about what happened, to please come forward.

    “I would also appeal to anyone who has personal CCTV/doorbell cameras and motorists who have dash-cams and may have been in the area around this time, to please check any footage in case it may have captured something that could assist with this investigation."
