MacIntyre seeks funding to combat digital exclusion for people with learning disabilities

MacIntyre, a national charity providing education, support and care for over 1,200 people with learning disabilities and/or autism in the UK, with over 200 people supported here in Milton Keynes, are taking part in the 2020 Big Give Christmas Challenge.

MacIntyre’s dedicated teams have worked tirelessly to support people to understand and adapt to these changes. Technology has played a crucial part in keeping people supported in touch, many of whom have not physically seen friends, family and loved ones for over 5 months.

Now, they need your help. To enable MacIntyre to support people with learning disabilities and/or autism to keep in touch with their loved ones and access the ever-expanding digital world, they are joining the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2020, the UK’s biggest online match funding campaign.
Could you get involved and consider making a pledge of £100 to help MacIntyre reach their target of £1,000 in pledges by 28 August?

This will be followed by a week of fantastic, festive fundraising fun for everyone during the ‘Challenge Week’, kicking off on #GivingTuesday between 1 to 8 December, when every single donation made to MacIntyre that week is doubled.

Lorraine Devereux, Events and Corporate Fundraiser said:

“We feel passionately that we want to be able to bring the opportunity to use technology, to connect and to learn to even more people we support at MacIntyre.  Imagine being able to play a part in making that happen, in bringing that opportunity to someone with a learning disability. You can help us make that happen by pledging your support in the Big Give Christmas Challenge”.
