The M1 Southbound in Milton Keynes will be closed this evening between J15 at Northampton and J14 at Milton Keynes for emergency carriageway repairs.
The road will be closed from 11pm tonight (19th December) until 6am tomorrow morning (20th December).
A diversion route is in operation via the A508 Southbound, A5 Southbound and the A509 through Milton Keynes to re-join the M1 at J14.
Highways officials say the road could re-open earlier if the works are completed in less time than expected.
