TRAVEL: M1 near Milton Keynes closed due to serious collision

The M1 northbound J13 (A421, MiltonKeynes) to J14 (A509, MiltonKeynes, NewportPagnell) is currently closed due to a serious collision.

A spokesperson for National Highways has warned drivers to avoid the area.

The M1 northbound J13 to J14 is currently closed due to a serious collision.

Reports say the collision is between a stationary lorry and a van.

Thames Valley Roads Policing unit say it is a serious injury collision.

This comes as the M1 north is also closed between J14 and J15 for the entire weekend for planned smart motorway works.

Therefore if heading for Yorkshire/North East region National Highways say to consider using the A1.

If heading for the West Midlands/North West National Highways say to use M40.
