Local MP makes a splash at new aqua park

Milton Keynes North MP, Mark Lancaster sent waves of excitement over Willen Lake last week when he visited the new Aqua Parcs water park.

Kitted out in a wetsuit, he swam out to Milton Keynes’ new 120m-long water park, which is expected to attract thousands of visitors this summer. Mark was given a tour of the park by owner Joe Grix and invited the try each obstacle, much to the delight of onlookers.

The MP also offered his support to help entrepreneurs Kieron Murty and Joe and to help them to establish a greater recognition in the new city.

Mark Lancaster said, “If there was ever a way to enjoy Willen Lake from a different perspective, then this is it!”

Joe says, “Mark was a great sport and really got stuck into the course, taking on each challenge in good spirit and humour. The support of people like Mark is incredibly important and we cannot thank him and his team enough for giving us such a warm welcome to Milton Keynes.”

Aqua Parcs opened on Saturday 7 July and has already seen over 2,000 people through the course, and, as the weather continues to heat up, Aqua Parcs is set to be the biggest hit of the summer.

Aqua Parcs is for ages eight and above and safe for all to use. All participants must be able to swim 25m unaided wearing the park's buoyancy vest. Wetsuit hire is included in the £20 fee (pre-booking) and each session lasts one hour.
