Milton Keynes MP encourages local businesses to sign up to Eat Out To Help Out scheme

Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, is encouraging local businesses to sign up to the Government’s new Eat Out To Help Out scheme.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the plan last week to offer diners 50% off food and non-alcoholic drinks on Mondays to Wednesdays throughout August to get people back into local bars, restaurants and cafes to help them bounce back from the lockdown.

Applications to register your establishment to be part of the scheme opened up on Monday and Ben is hoping as many local restaurants as possible will take part.

He commented: “This is a fantastic new initiative from Rishi Sunak, alongside a host of other supportive measures the Government has announced, and will really help our local businesses bounce back.

“This will not only protect the businesses, but the jobs of people working there and it will boost our local economy.

“So if you are local restaurant, café or bar in MK please do sign up for the Eat Out To Help Out scheme, and if you’re a diner please do get out and support our local establishments as much as possible!”

You can sign up for the scheme here.
