Local designer pays tribute to national hero Captain Tom Moore

Anthony Staff, from Milton Keynes, has drawn Captain Tom Moore as a thank you for his outstanding fundraising efforts for the NHS.

Captain Tom, 99, vowed to walk 100 lengths of his garden before his 100th birthday all to raise funds for the NHS. Last week, he completed the challenge and has since raised over £27 million and counting.

Anthony, 33, told MKFM: "I spent time to draw Captain Tom Moore because in these tough times he as been a legend and so inspirational for all the money he has raised for the NHS."

People up and down the country have also been creating pieces of work to commemorate Captain Tom's achievements. A street artist based in Dundee created large scale graffiti art on a shed, Norfolk artist 'Ruddy Muddy' paid tribute on the back of his van, and a Great Granddad in Sunderland painted a portrait of Captain Tom.
