Lidl UK has announced that it will be holding a public consultation day to outline plans for its new store on Wolverton Road in Blakelands, Milton Keynes.

The public are invited to attend the event to view the supermarkets plans for a new store.

The multi-million pound investment, will see Lidl commit to building a sustainable store with a 1,325m² sales area, with plans to create up to 40 new jobs. The supermarket will also include an instore bakery, customer toilets, ample parking for both cars , bicycles and electrical vehicle charging.

Lidl UK’s Regional Head of Property, Jeremy Lee, commented: “We are extremely excited about the prospect of opening a new Lidl store in Milton Keynes and serving our fresh, quality and incredibly good value produce which shoppers across the country have come to love. We look forward to welcoming anyone along to the public consultation day and showcasing our plans whilst answering any questions.”

The planned store on Wolverton Road, Blakelands will add to Lidl’s existing store portfolio of 700, and will form part of the company’s growth plans which will see it open up to 50 new stores a year.

LIdl submitted a planning application on 1st March, and those who wish to share any feedback on the plans can do so at www.blakelands.lidl.co.uk
