There are less than three weeks until this year's #LoveMKDay where people are being asked to share what they are most looking forward to doing post-lockdown.

Love MK Day, which was launched by the official tourism board for the city, Destination Milton Keynes, will fall on 29th April.

Each year, #LoveMK Day aims to promote Milton Keynes as a leisure and business destination but it also harnesses the pride that many people have in their city.

Although coronavirus restrictions have eased slightly, many businesses will still be closed on 29th April, so Destination Milton Keynes has adapted their theme.

This year's theme is 'looking forward', and participants are being asked to share what they are looking forward to doing post-lockdown.

Carys Underwood, from Destination Milton Keynes, explained: "We’re asking everyone on the day to say what they are looking forward to most as and when the restrictions finally ease…that might be just meeting up for a meal with friends, going for a wild night out, heading to the theatre, watching live sport again or enjoying some of MK’s amazing events!"

On 29th April, people are being asked to share their thoughts using the hashtag #LoveMKDay to help get it trending.

Last year, the day celebrated the people of Milton Keynes who went above and beyond during the pandemic - including the NHS and staff at Milton Keynes Hospital.
