Passengers at Milton Keynes Central are currently facing disruption.

UPDATE - Delays are expected at Milton Keynes Central expected until 1pm.

Due to a points failure at Milton Keynes Central, some lines are currently closed.

Trains may be delayed by up to 30 minutes, National Rail say.

Points are movable sections of track, allowing trains to move from one line to another.

Points might fail when they get get clogged with debris or ice, the drive mechanism might fail or, in hot weather, they might expand too much.

Currently, there is also signalling issues at Crewe.
