Just six coronavirus cases announced in Milton Keynes today as infection rate stays the same

    There were just six coronavirus cases announced in Milton Keynes today, and the infection rate has stayed the same, according to the latest data.

    The latest update brings the total number of people tested positive in Milton Keynes since the start of the pandemic to 20,034 - of which 84 were in the past seven days.

    According to the Government website, the 7-day case rate, or infection rate, has stayed the same today. It currently stands at 37.9 cases per 100,000 people.

    Today's national average was 27.2 cases per 100,000 people.

    Nationally, there was an additional 2,963 people tested positive yesterday, with four deaths within 28 days of a positive test.

    None of these deaths took place in Milton Keynes yesterday, meaning the city's total COVID-linked death toll still stands at 463 since the start of the pandemic.
