How many people will be heading out to pubs in Milton Keynes this weekend?

8 million people in England say they intend to go visit their local when it reopens, but what about the people of Milton Keynes?

Earlier this week, MKFM published a poll on Facebook and 90% of respondents said they will NOT be visiting the pub this weekend.

Out of the nearly 3,000 votes, just 282 people voted yes. One individual, who voted no, commented: "Nope, [we have] got out own little pub in our garden. We can socially distance till we feel safe going out again. I'd rather stay home than risk further lockdown or my loved ones getting sick."

On the other hand, one of the few hundred people who said yes, added: "Who are the 90% that said no?! Very strange world we live in. A decently poured pint is needed."

Looking at a more national picture, new research by Opinion Matters shows that more men (54%) than women (36%) would be happy to pop out for drink and with 25-34 year olds (42%) more confident than 55-64 year olds (18%).
