John Lewis staff to take over Milton Keynes Willen Hospice shops in fundraising bid

Teams from John Lewis & Partners will be taking over three Willen Hospice shops in Milton Keynes for one day, to see who can fundraise the most.

The first team have kicked off the challenge today (15th September) in the Willen Hospice Bletchley Store, on Bletchley High Street.

The next team will be in the Willen Hospice Olney shop on Friday 23rd September, and the third team will be finishing the takeover in the Willen Hospice Clearance Outlet on Grafton Gate on Monday 26th September.

Jaqi Caves, Brand Experience Manager for Milton Keynes Store said "This is a unique experience and a privilege. Thank you to our Head of Branch, David Donovan for allowing our Team Managers to sprinkle a little bit of the John Lewis & Partners magic and to offer a wealth of retail experience to Willen Hospice shop volunteers.

"The teams will be competing with each other to see who can generate the most income for the local charity, seeing who has the best Window and shop display, and which team is the most entrepreneurial.”

Customers are invited to shop and enjoy the fun activities, including a raffle with fantastic prizes to be won.

Nigel Birch, Willen Hospice Commercial Manager, said “We are delighted to welcome the teams from John Lewis & Partners into our shops for these takeover days. It will be a great team building activity for the staff, while benefitting Willen Hospice so we can care for more patients and their families affected by a life-limiting illness.

"We wish the teams the best of luck, and hope to see lots of customers in our stores supporting them.
