New figures show that the Wolverton & Greenleys area had the biggest increase in the amount of food waste collected in January.
Just over halfway through Milton Keynes Council's ‘Green Bin Campaign’, 13 parish and town councils have increased the amount of food waste collected in their areas during January.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of how to recycle food waste using the green wheeled bin and silver caddy. All parish, town and community councils were offered the chance to participate in this scheme which earns them cash rewards to spend back in their respective areas.
16 local parish, community and town councils signed up for the Recycle & Reward scheme last year which runs from December 2016 – February 2017.
