Inspirational youngster tackles two 5K runs in support of Milton Keynes charity

Camphill Milton Keynes is an impressive £831.25 better off, thanks to the sterling efforts of one youngster who put his best foot forward for the charity.

James is the son of Camphill's HR team member, Laura, and as a family they usually pull on their seasonal clothing and take part in the annual Christmas Jumper Jaunt. But this past Christmas they were away and coulldn't partake.

Instead, James ran from Newport Pagnell to Willen Lake for his first 5K and then joined the MK Parkrun (Willen Lake) to complete his second 5K!

"We were so impressed by James and his keenness to support Camphill MK," said community fundraiser Carolyn Green, “He undertook a lot of training runs and ran double the distance of our annual Christmas Jumper Jaunt.  I was proud to present him with one of our handmade medals in recognition of his hard work."

If James has inspired you to rewach for your trainers and help support the charity, they are looking for runners for the full marathon, half marathon, and the 5K during the Milton Keynes Marathon Weekend.
