Infection rate drops as just three coronavirus cases were recorded in Milton Keynes today

    The infection rate has dropped and just three coronavirus cases were recorded in Milton Keynes today (20/4).

    The latest update brings the total number of people tested positive in Milton Keynes since the start of the pandemic to 20,037 - of which 58 were in the past seven days.

    According to the Government website, the 7-day case rate, or infection rate, has dropped from 37.9 cases per 100,000 people yesterday to 32.3 cases per 100,000 people today.

    This is higher than the national average which stands at 26.1.

    Nationally, there was an additional 2,524 people tested positive yesterday, with 33 deaths within 28 days of a positive test.

    None of these deaths took place in Milton Keynes yesterday, meaning the city's total COVID-linked death toll still stands at 463 since the start of the pandemic.
