Ice cream van businesses can now apply to sell in Milton Keynes' busiest parks

The Parks Trust are seeking tenders from an ice cream concession to sell products from static ice-cream vans across various parkland locations within Milton Keynes.

The Parks Trust is an independent charity that cares for over 6,000 acres of parkland and green space in Milton Keynes. Currently, the charity is preparing for the spring and summer months and is looking for ice cream vans to offer refreshments for residents in MK's parks.

Interested traders will be required to enter into a two-year agreement to sell ice cream, non-alcoholic cold beverages and other foods and snacks as may be agreed with the Parks Trust.

Traders must also must be prepared to trade every Saturday and Sunday during the period 1st April - 30th September each year and every weekday of the same period during School Holidays.

There are opportunities to trade in Willen Lake North, Campbell Park and Caldecotte Lake North.

The Parks Trust says it would expect any successful trader to help the environment by using biodegradable and sustainable products and help welcome park visitors by keeping the areas clean and tidy.

The charity will also look favourably on a concession operator using electric or hybrid vehicles.

Successful tenders will be trading for 24 months from 1 April 2023.

Interested parties should read and complete the request for tender documents and apply by email to j.dawes@theparkstrust.com by 12noon on Friday 17th March 2023.
