Hundreds of businesses and charities attend MK Big Chat

The MK Big Chat has been named a 'huge success' by organisers Ben Everitt MP and Iain Stewart MP.

Iain and Ben put on the event at the Ridgeway Centre for the first time since 2019 in a bid to bring businesses, charities and organisations together to connect and network.

Businesses including Aiimi and Starship Technologies attended, while charities such as Harry’s Rainbow and Willen Hospice also hosted stalls, and organisations such as the National Lottery Community Fund and Chamber Of Commerce also joined the event.

The first half of the event was specifically for stall holders and involved one minute spotlight talks, a Q&A with the local MPs and a speed dating session to help link different groups from across the city, with lunch provided by MacIntyre.

In the afternoon the MK Big Chat was opened up to the public and other organisations invited by the MPs.

Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, said: “I’m absolutely delighted so many people came along to take part in the MK Big Chat and get Milton Keynes talking.

“We’ve got such an incredible diverse range of businesses, charities and community groups in MK and it was brilliant getting as many of them as possible under one roof to see how they can work together and support each other.”

Iain Stewart, the MP for Milton Keynes South, commented: “It was brilliant to see the MK Big Chat successfully return, allowing a wide range of businesses, charities and organisations from across Milton Keynes to come together under one roof to network and connect.

“We are fortunate to have such a diverse range of organisations in Milton Keynes but they don’t always have the opportunity to meet other organisations so I was pleased to have provided that forum for them with Ben Everitt MP.

“I am looking forward to seeing if there are any success stories between MK Big Chat attendees!"
