Twelve areas across the city had their food and garden waste collections missed yesterday (23/8) so households are being told to put the bins out today (24/8).
Milton Keynes Council has said that their waste contractor, Serco, has been catching up with increased levels of waste due to the service resuming last week.
Green bin collections were previously suspended due to the "pingdemic" causing staff members to self-isolate.
In a short statement released yesterday, a spokesperson for Milton Keynes Council said: "We apologise for delays to the food and garden waste service, we're currently working one day behind."
The areas that were missed are:
-
Oakridge Park
-
Stantonbury
-
Great Linford
-
Downhead Park
-
Bolbeck Park
-
Willen Park
-
Willen
-
Newport Pagnell
-
Blakelands
-
Olney
-
Emberton
-
Lavendon
These affected areas have been told to put their green bins out today for collection.
Due to the backlog of waste, refuse collectors will also be working through the weekend to ensure that all collections are up-to-date for next week.
