Home care company wants to let elderly Milton Keynes residents know that they are here for support

    Radfield Home Care Company are concerned that elderly residents may not be reaching out for the help they need because of the pandemic.

    With families unable to visit, the lockdown can be a very lonely and scary time for the elderly.

    Some people may even find themselves needing more help now than before, but feel unsure on were to get it.

    But one home care company want to let the residents of Milton Keynes to know that they are here to help if they need it.

    Radfield Home Care Company offer support to elderly people in Milton Keynes who want maintain their independence in their own home.

    Rebecca Hancock, the company's HR and recruitment manager wanted to put out an appeal to anyone who needs home help.

    She said: "We aim to combat loneliness and isolation during these unprecedented times through providing meaningful support delivered in a person centered approach.

    "Recently we have connected a 93 year old man with his family through Zoom to celebrate his birthday, we have also supported a lady through a difficult time after coming home from hospital and this week managed to support her to access the community and feel the fresh air on her face again for the first time in months.

    "Our services range from help with personal care to support with meal preparation to respite care and everything in between."

    Some may even be eligible for financial help through Milton Keynes adult social care, so it's worth looking into if financial costs are putting anyone off getting the help they need.
