The National Care Awards took place on 30th November 2018 – a celebration of their 20th Anniversary. It was a special night for PJ Care’s Heather Marchant too…
Being nominated for any category in any industry is no mean feat. Competition is fierce, and standards are high. But in the care industry, there’s another factor to consider; the heart and passion that goes into every action of every day. PJ Care’s pillars are: Compassion, Commitment, Care, so it was no surprise when Heather Marchant, Trainee Assistant Practitioner, was nominated for the ‘Care Apprentice of the Year’ Award at this year’s event.
Heather received glowing comments from the judges, who felt she “demonstrated tremendous enthusiasm and passion for what she does and her commitment and determination towards continuing to learn and develop is clear”. The judges went on to add: “Heather showed some very interesting and inspiring insight into her personal journey, and the feedback from colleagues was very positive. The judges have no doubt that she will continue to do well in her career going forward”.
Heather adds, “I am so pleased to have won and am so proud to work for a company who support me so much in my personal development. My course has gone very well to date and I am due to be a qualified Assistant Practitioner in April with plans to progress on to Mental Health Nursing!”.
The team as PJ Care proudly celebrated Heather’s win and commented: “a huge well done to Heather, this is so well deserved. She truly lives and breathes the PJ Care values and to see her recognised for the hard work she is putting in is inspirational”.
