Hair Host will be having a fundraising Blow Dry A Thon at their Central MK salon on Tuesday 25th June to raise funds for local charity, Ride High.
They aim to raise at least £1000 and the money that is raised on the day, will support children that attend Ride High.
To get involved, please book a blow dry, enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz, homemade cake, and be pampered with a relaxing wash, head massage and blow dry! Everyone who takes part will be entered into a draw to win 12 months of KMS haircare products.
Ride High supports vulnerable and disadvantaged children, aged 8-17, whose circumstances and traumas make daily life a struggle. Children come to Ride High for a variety of reasons, the most prevalent being mental health challenges. Last year 80% of the children referred struggled with their mental health. Many of the children find it hard to engage or communicate, Ride High uses horses as a vehicle to connect with the children. They learn to ride and care for the horses, while also partaking in classroom sessions that aim to develop personal and life skills.
Ride High is free to all children, a minibus service is offered to those who do not have access to their own transport, and the children receive a meal whilst there. Being a completely self-funded charity means fundraising efforts, from those in the community, are essential in allowing Ride High to continue to provide their unique service.
