Gruelling charity venture in support of a very special Milton Keynes man

A group of Ethan Hill's friends and family will be pushing off on a cycle ride with a difference later this spring - cycling from the new city all the way to Rome for a huge charity push.

And they'll be doing it, 'One kilmeter at a time for Willen Hospice and Sarcoma UK.'

The plan is to ride between 120 and 150km daily, while swelling the charity coffers.

Their motivation and inspiration is 26-year-old Ethan, who has been battline Ewings Sarcoma, since falling seriously ill in late 2021.

A primary tumour was discovered in his kidney, but despite multiple rounds of treatment and surgeries, including six months of biweekly chemotherapy, the cancer has always returned, and Ethan is now receiving palliative care.

"But through it all, he continues to fight. With remarkable resilience, he holds on to hope and faces each day with courage, determination and an unwavering will to live," said his mother,  "This is not just a story about cancer. It's a story about strength and the relentless human spirit."

"Despite everything and losing the chance to live the life he deserved to have, Ethan remains happy and peaceful - often found with his little dog Stanley by his side. He keeps himself busy planning Pedal4Purpose, loving music and Formula 1 and simply taking each day as it comes. His spirit remains unbroken," she added.

Nine members of Ethan's family and friendship circle are taking on the 1800 kilometre challenge - with all monies raised divided between the aforementioned Willen Hospice and Sarcoma UK.
