Glastonbury Thorn School receive prestigious award for being an Outstandingly Happy School

    The Shenley Church End school were delighted to be recognised on Tuesday 3rd July.

    Glastonbury Thorn School were thrilled to share their award for Outstandingly Happy School.

    They are the first infant school in the country to have achieved the status and the only school in Milton Keynes.

    The children have been working had on attaining the achievement since September 2017 and the school say that it is something they we will continue to embed and carry on. 

    Tony Seymour, the Inspector from Art of Brilliance, was thoroughly impressed with what the children had achieved so far and was very proud to award Glastonbury Thorn School with the status. 

    This award recognises that the school promotes the principles of positivity, confidence, flourishing, resilience, optimism, community spirit, kindness, aspiration and strengths.  

    Head teacher, Sarah Pearce and Nina MacKay, Deputy head teacher, are very proud of all the children and staff at Glastonbury Thorn School.
