Fundraiser launched after motorcycle collision near Milton Keynes leaves dad of two paralysed

The family of a 32-year-old man who was left paralysed following an accident last month have set up a fundraiser.

On 23rd September, Karl was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after sustaining serious injuries in a collision at Moulsoe, near Newport Pagnell.

Karl was on his way to work at 6.50am when he was in the serious accident. The collision left Karl with a shattered pelvis and spine, following emergency surgery and treatment, he was left paralysed from the waist down.

With Karl left likely to need medical equipment and lifestyle changes, his family have set up a GoFundMe to raise the funds.

With the family-of-four currently living in a top floor flat, family say they will need to find a new property as well as equipment to allow Karl to move freely.

Karl's GoFundMe page reads: " Karl is a loving and devoted father to his two sons and has an amazing girlfriend too. Unfortunately his girlfriend is currently working all hours as she's worrying about money and being able to afford their future.

"So I've set up this go fund me page to try and help them out. They currently live in a top floor flat and will need to move, they'll need a mobility vehicle so Karl can get in and out easier and it'll have wheelchair space.

"They'll also need hoists in and around the house as well as disability bars and maybe even a special bed. The list is bigger than this but this is just an example."

You can donate to the GoFundMe here.
