Appeal started to cover funeral costs, belongings and support.
A funding appeal has been launched by colleagues of a woman who lost her daughter and friend in a devastating house fire last month.
Lucy Nganga lost 15-year-old Ann Eyre alongside family friend Zainab Kazinja in the blaze on St Patrick’s Way, Bletchley in May.
Now colleagues at Milton Keynes Hospital have set up a GoFundMe page to help support the grieving mum.
“We have launched a GoFundMe appeal to help Lucy cover Ann’s funeral costs, due to take place on 26th June, and to provide support as she tries to rebuild her life, her home and her wellbeing after such an unimaginable loss,” said one colleague.
The fund will raise cash to help Lucy replace immediate essentials lost in the fire, for counselling and support, lost income and the funeral and memorial expenses for Ann.
“The impact of this unimaginable loss has shaken the local community, but no one more so than Lucy, who not only lost her daughter, but also her home, belongings, and her sense of safety,” the funding page says.
“Ann was a bright, kind-hearted, and loving teenager with her whole life ahead of her. Her smile lit up every room, and her loss is felt deeply by everyone who knew her.”
