There were fourteen coronavirus cases recorded in Milton Keynes today (23/4), and the infection rate has finally fallen below the national average, according to the latest data.
The latest update brings the total number of people tested positive in Milton Keynes since the start of the pandemic to 20,064 - of which 54 were in the past seven days.
According to the Government website, the 7-day case rate, or infection rate, has fallen in Milton Keynes today.
Yesterday's infection rate was 28.6 cases per 100,000 people, while it has dropped to 23.4 cases per 100,000 people today.
This is now below the national average - which stands at 24.8.
Nationally, there was an additional 2,678 people tested positive yesterday, with 40 deaths within 28 days of a positive test.
None of these deaths took place in Milton Keynes yesterday, meaning the city's total COVID-linked death toll still stands at 463 since the start of the pandemic.
